For media & publishers

Give your audience a reason to come back between matches.

Sports mastheads, broadcasters, podcast networks, newsletter publishers, regional mastheads — Fanzava builds a branded tipping competition inside your publication so the audience that came for the match stays through the week.

The challenge

You know this challenge.

The audience that engages around fixtures and disperses between them.

Match days bring the traffic in. The days between are where you have to earn the next visit, and right now there isn't much structurally pulling them back.

The engagement metric that flatters the page, not the publication.

Time on page is healthy. Pageviews per session are fine. The number that matters — do they come back next week — is the one nobody on the call wants to talk about.

The audience habit you don't yet own.

Readers go to socials, prediction apps, group chats for Monday post-mortems. The natural conversation around the fixture is happening somewhere else.

What changes

What changes when a publisher runs on Fanzava.

A weekly habit, not a daily impression.

Tipping rounds open and lock on the fixture rhythm. The audience returns every week to set their tips, every week to check the leaderboard. The week between matches becomes engagement, not silence.

Audience time, not just audience visits.

Tipping pulls readers into a structured weekly habit — checking results, setting tips, watching the leaderboard. The engagement metrics every editor cares about move in the same direction at the same time.

Inventory you didn't have before.

Sponsor a round. Sponsor the leaderboard. Sponsor the weekly recap. New surfaces to monetise, none of them displacing the journalism.

Due diligence

Questions media teams ask.

Can the leaderboard live inside our existing article pages?

Yes — through one of two paths. Leaderboards run on a custom domain (e.g., leaderboards.yourmasthead.com) that can be linked or referenced from any article. For deeper integration directly inside article templates, Full API access is available on Pro and Enterprise tiers, so your editorial dev team can render leaderboards using your existing front-end framework. Webhook events fire on participation, tipping, and engagement so the data flows back into your CMS and analytics in near-real-time.

Does it work with our subscription system?

Yes — via SSO and webhooks. SSO connects your existing subscription identity system so subscribers move into the tipping experience without re-authenticating, and access can be gated to subscribers if you want to position tipping as a paywall benefit. Webhooks fire on signup, tip, and engagement events, so subscriber engagement data flows back into your CRM in near-real-time.

Can we sell sponsorship inventory inside the experience?

Yes. Fanzava ships native ad placements across leaderboard footers, sidebar units, post-tip interstitials, round reminder emails, results emails, weekly digests, and mobile banners. From Starter onwards you can upload sponsor creatives directly; Enterprise unlocks programmatic ad serving via DV360 and Google Ad Manager. The advertising specification names exact placement dimensions for creative production.

How does it handle a Grand Final-sized traffic spike?

Built for it. Fanzava runs on Cloudflare Workers with Neon PostgreSQL via Hyperdrive — serverless from end to end, scaling elastically with traffic. The platform is engineered to handle audience surges from major fixtures without operator intervention. Enterprise tier includes a 99.95% uptime SLA.
